Below are directions for the sign up and the Polar Bear jumping area. You must pre-register for the jump before jumping at Goodyear Lake.
Directions to Polar Bear Jump Sign-In at Portlandville Methodist Church - Take exit 17 off of I-88, proceed north on State Highway 28 to the Town of Portlandville. Proceed to Portlandville Methodist Church, will be on the right hand side of the road.
Directions to Polar Bear Jump Site on Goodyear Lake from Portlandville Methodist Church - Depart the Portlandville Methodist Church traveling SW on NY 28. Take left hand turn at Portlandville Bridge onto CR-35A, proceed across bridge (CR-35A will become CR-35). Travel approximately 1.6 mi, take right hand turn onto Lake Shore Drive South entrance. Proceed across railroad tracks and turn left into field designated for Polar Bear Jump parking. After parking proceed down road towards jump site- follow signs.
Directions to the Polar Bear Jump Site - From I-88, coming from Oneonta, take exit 16 to Emmons/Davenport Center. turn left onto County Route 47. Turn right onto Route 7 and go 3.6 miles. Take sharp left onto County Route 35 and go 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Lake Shore Drive South. Go several hundred yards and there is parking available on the left hand side.

Jump Day - Sign ups begin at 9:00 am at the Portlandville Church. Jump time - is 12:30 pm on the backside of Goodyear Lake. For directions, see the "directions" link. Read the packet carefully.
Awards Banquet - at the Moose Lodge in Oneonta from 4 pm - 6pm. Music by Mike Herman. 6 pm is check presentation. 7 pm Round House Rockers. Food and drink available.
Chinese Auction at the Milford Central School. Doors open at 12:30 pm, and food and drink are available for everyone.
The 2010 Polar Jump packet is now available here. You must call Brenda Waters at 607-286-7101 to get a password to download the jump packet. The reason why we do this is for an accurate count for the number of t-shirts we will need for jumpers.
